GAW units for new PM2 of Kipaş Kağıt in Söke Turkey

The new PM2 of Kipas Kagit in Söke/Turkey announced another production record in summer of 2022: 1,965 tonnes per day of 280g Duplex Board. 

GAW technologies supplied the coating kitchen, deinking, wet end chemical preparation, working stations as well as the wet grinding of GCC to this impressive production line.
It was one of the largest projects for GAW in the last year and included almost the entire portfolio of the coating and preparation technology.
From summer 2021 until beginning of 2022 the GAW scope of supply was started up step by step.
 
For a project of this volume and size, team work is a crucial part of the success.

The entire plant is equipped with the latest production and automation technologies.
The new PM 2 from Voith Paper features a very wide production and basis weights range and produces up to 700,000 tons/y of high-quality board and packaging papers with basis weights from 90 to 400 g/m2 while maintaining consistent high quality.
The new line has a maximum process design speed of 1,200 meters per minute and a wire width of 8,900 mm.
